In any card game, the House always has an edge whether they care to admit it or not. Strategy cards aim to lessen or eliminate this gap between players and the House.

Strategy cards, when used and appreciated properly, can help any player develop his or her own set of special blackjack strategies. In theory, strategy cards that outline all of the possible combinations are the most advantageous because almost everything is laid out in front of you.

The other side of the coin is that the more comprehensive the strategy cards are, the more overwhelming they can be. Just imagine if all the possible combinations are in those cards, your first tendency is to try and memorize them. You may find some of the combinations too complex and you may have trouble understanding them. You may sometimes even find it hard to remember them. This takes away not just your confidence and but also the good chunk of fun you used to get from the playing the game you loved the most. The moral lesson of the story is that strategy cards should not be your special blackjack strategy.

The ultimate goal of any blackjack strategy is to bring the house edge to zero. If you want the Holy Grail of special blackjack strategies and bring that House edge to zero, you have your work cut out for you. You can just be happy with the special blackjack strategy called "smack in the middle." It is a strategy that has an acceptable house edge yet straightforward enough so you can still enjoy the game.

Strategy cards are a good foundation for forming special blackjack strategies. They give you a good starting point and once you become comfortable with a certain level of complexity, you can move on to the more complex ones. But strategy cards will not provide you with the actual strategy you need to bring the House edge to zero. No matter how many combinations they have, they cannot predict how a game will be played. Strategy cards are, at the most, like flash cards in school - tools to help. The winning As will have to come from your hard work.
